Here's the big winners at the 2015 MMFF awards night

The participating movies at the 2015 MMFF.

Nilalang emerged as the biggest winners at the recently held 41st Metro Manila Film Festival awards night, bagging the honors for best editing, best film editor, best cinematography, best festival sound, and best festival musical score.

Meanwhile, Jericho Rosales and Jennylyn Mercado received the top acting plum for best actor and best actress for their roles in Walang Forever. 

The best supporting actress and actor went to Maine Mendoza and Tirso Cruz III, for the films My Bebe Love and Honor Thy Father respectively.

MMFF Showdown - Yesterday Today Tomorrow

Diamond Star Maricel Soriano comes back in Yesterday Today Tomorrow.

Yesterday Today Tomorrow tells the interconnected saga of love, loss and deception.

It’s about what happens to a family when faced with a tragedy and how it changes each and every member and how they deal with that tragedy that befalls them,” explains the film's director Jun Lana in his first foray to directing an entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival.

“I never think of it as a Metro Manila Film Festival movie kasi it’s still the same effort. Kahit naman pang-regular playdate, sineseryoso naman namin at binibigay namin lahat.

“Even if they pressure me, I won’t allow them to pressure me. I’ll just do my best.”

Aside from being the only heavy drama entry to the festival, there is more with Yesterday Today Tomorrow that the audience will fall in love with.

“For one, ‘yong casting alone makes it a movie event,” boasts Direk Jun.

“And then we made sure that the story is very entertaining. I mean it’s for the film fest. Christmas siya lalabas, so dapat entertaining talaga siya.”

The film stars Diamond Star Maricel Soriano in her comeback roll since 2009, together with Gabby Concepcion, Jericho Rosales, Dennis Trillo, Paulo Avelino, Lovi Poe, Carla Abellana, Solenn Heussaff, Ronaldo Valdez, Agot Isidro and introducing Eula Caballero
