2011 MMFF Box-Office Results (2 Weeks)


Enteng ng Ina Mo, run-away hit.

Here is the accumulated gross earnings of MMFF entries from Dec. 25, 2011 until Jan. 7, 2012, with the Vic Sotto-Ai-Ai delas Alas starrer Enteng ng Ina Mo as the run-away winner, passing the elusive P200-million mark at P237.88 million. Kris Aquino's prayer was granted as Segunda Mano grabbed the number 2 spot, with P126.63 million in box-office earnings. The third slot was occupied by Bong Revilla-Marian Rivera starrer Ang Panday 2, P105.6 million.

MMFF January 1 Box-Office Tally

Enteng Ng Ina Mo remains at No. 1, Segunda Mano steal Top 2 Spot; Ang Panday Drops to third spot.

As of Jan. 1, 2012 presstime, Enteng ng Ina Mo remains solid at number 1 with an accumulated box office gross of P183.2 million. The film stars box-office king and queen, Vic Sotto and Ai-Ai delas Alas. Meanwhile, the Kris Aquino-Dingdong Dantes horror-suspense flick Segunda Mano rose to number 2, with P94.6 million. At P86.3 million, Panday 2, starring Bong Revilla and Marian Rivera dropped to third place. Family comedy-drama My Househusband starring real-life couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo, raked in P42.5 million, stealing the fourth spot from Shake, Rattle & Roll 13, which now rests at the 5th spot. Manila Kingpin placed 6th, with P31.7 million, while tail-ending the list is the family drama Yesterday Today Tomorrow with P7.3 million.

MMFF Year-End Box-Office Result

Enteng ng Ina Mo leads the race in wide margin. 


As of Dec. 31 press time, Enteng ng Ina Mo continues the lead the MMFF box office tally. At P91 million, The Vic Sotto-Aiai delas Alas starrer trails competition, with the nearest box office contender, Ang Panday 2 grossing P51 million, a massive P40-million gap.

MMFF Showdown - My Househusband


Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo team up for the third time in My Househusband.


Real and reel life couple, Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo, comes back to MMFF with this year's entry My House Husband, this time forming a love triangle with versatile actress Eugene Domingo, is a hilarious and wacky family comedy that is set to leave audience laughing and rolling.

The film tells the story of a man “who is forced by circumstances to take care of his family and do house chores while his wife “has to be the one to take on a job,” describes the film's writer and director Jose Javier Reyes. The move is produced by OctoArts Films.
This is a phenomenon na very current right now,” he adds. The plot follows the househusband’s journey toward enlightenment.

In the end,” Direk Joey says, “he learns that it is hard to be a housewife and more important, he learns to respect his wife not only as a mother, somebody to take care of the house, but as an individual who is capable of being a professional.”
This is the third collaboration of Direk Joey Reyes with real-life married couple Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos. Their earlier made MMFF box-office front runners, Kasal Kasali, Kasalo in 2007 and Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo in 2008.

Joining Judai and Ryan are Mirriam Quiambao and Agot Isidro.
