Megan Fox is oozing with that exotic look and sex appeal
that there’s no doubt she is the definitive sex symbol of her era. But her
beauty doesn’t stand empty. Fox has starred in some of the biggest box office
hits of her generation and continues to attract the attention of both critics
and moviegoers alike with her alluring screen presence.
Megan Denise Fox was born on May 16, 1986 in Oak Ridge,
Tennessee. She is the daughter of Gloria Darlene Cisson and Franklin Thomas
Fox. Fox proudly hails from mix ancestry of Irish, French, and Native American
descent. She admitted that when she was young, she was raised at a "very
strictly Pentecostal" environment, although she was sent to a Catholic
school where she remained for 12 years.
Fox was still a young child when she trained as an actress.
She was five when she studied drama and dance and during her elementary years,
she actively participated in choral activities, as well as with the Kingston
Clippers swim team.
She was 13 bagged several awards at the 1999 American
Modeling and Talent Convention held at Hilton Head, South Carolina. That signaled
the start of her career as a model.
In 2001, Fox’s acting career started in earnest. She was
cast in different roles, albeit minor ones, on TV and in movies. She eventually
landed a regularly stint in the comedy sitcom, Hope & Faith (2004-2006).
Her movie debut came when she was cast in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen,
but it was not until 2007 when she became a big Hollywood star. As Mikaela
Banes, Fox lured the audience as Shia LaBeuof’s love interest in colossally successful
film, Transformers. Fox was cast in
the same role in the second film’s second installment, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. That same year, she portrayed
the eponymous star in the film Jennifer's
Body.
Considered as one the top female sex symbols of her era, Fox
was a huge hit as a magazine cover girl. In fact, she has already graced the covers
of such high-profile men’s magazines, such as Maxim, Rolling Stone and FHM.
